What to Do This Weekend: 6/27-6/29 Edition

June Gloom is practically non-existent this month, so not celebrate this seriously sunny weather with some outdoor and out-of-the-box activity?

Here, we bring you our picks for the coolest and most fun events of the weekend. Enjoy!

Friday 6/27

Tonight will kick off the first night of the Los Angeles Zoo’s Roaring Nights event! Happening on the last Friday of the month for June, July and August only, 18+ visitors will have the opportunity to visit the animals in their nocturnal habitats while enjoying cocktails, a live band performance and other treats!

The event is from 7:00 pm -10:00 pm and is $18 per person. Be sure to grab your tickets in advance because this special event is unique and one you won’t want to miss!

Saturday 6/28

Head over to the ever-so-chic Santa Monica Viceroy hotel to rub elbows with a beautiful and hip crowd while sipping delicious drinks and listening to the sounds of DJ SKE Maddox!

The event is free and 21+ only but is also first-come first-serve, so be sure to get there early for a good spot! The fun happens in the Cameo bar, but be sure to duck out the doors and into the poolside bar area for fresh air and glittering lights.

Sunday 6/29

Do you enjoy the fine works of the theater but also long to spend as much time outside as possible during the summer? You’re not alone!

Head over the Griffith Park Shakespearean festival which features a different classic Shakespeare performance outside in the historical relics of the old Los Angeles Zoo from now until the end of August.

The event is free and fit for all ages, but be sure to arrive early to enjoy the sunset and get a good “seat”. Be sure to bring your picnicing goodies!
