What To Do This Weekend: 5/16-5/18 Edition

TGIF, everyone, the weekend is finally here!

Here are some fun, music filled events in Los Angeles tonight, tomorrow and Sunday, all for your listening entertainment and enjoyment. Have a ball!

Friday 5/16

Turning 100 is is cause for a celebration! While the Dance Downtown series may be celebrating their 100th dance instead of 100th year, it’s still promising to be a super groovy night out thanks to the 1960’s theme.

Join all ages outside from 6:30 pm until 10:00 pm at the Music Center Plaza for picnicking, free dance lessons and live music! More information can be found HERE.

Saturday 5/17

Can’t get enough of this amazing Southern California weather? Head over to the Getty for their Saturdays Off the 405 series for a musical performance by DJ Farmer Dave and headliner and North Carolina native, Jonathan Wilson!

This event is free but is guaranteed to fill up fast, so get there a bit early for prime parking (not free) and to partake in the cash bar.

Sunday 5/18

Whether you’re a fan of the opera or a fan of the original classic play written by Tennessee Williams or the movie version A Streetcar Named Desire, head to the Los Angeles Opera for one night of the 3 night only opera version of A Streetcar Named Desire.

Tickets start at just $40 and go up depending on seating so buy them in advance and don’t miss out as it promises to be anything but a normal night out at the opera!
