What to Do this Weekend: 3/14-3/16 Edition

St. Patrick’s Day weekend is upon us, lasses and laddies!

If green beer and rowdy revelry isn’t your thing, here are some other options for weekend fun in Los Angeles.

Friday 3/14

If you’re a lover of popular television shows, head over to one of the many screenings and Q&As with cast and crew members at the annual Paley Fest! Stretched out over a few weeks, you’ll have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the stars of your favorite tv shows in person, watch rare or unreleased footage and meet other fans!

Tickets start at just $35 but discounted tics can also be found on Gold Star. Panels you can attend include Mad Men, Veronica Mars, Parks and Recreation, Orange is the New Black and many, many more!

Saturday 3/15

If TV isn’t your thing, how about the movies? The Aero Cinema in Santa Monica is featuring a week long tribute to the late actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman.  This retrospective includes both his award winning and lessor known movies. On Saturday, March 15th, you can catch a double feature of Boogie Nights and Happiness. Tickets for double features are only $11.

Sunday 3/16

Who doesn’t love puppies?! Sure, you may be allergic to them, but you still love them, right?

Join in the Poker for Puppies fundraising tournament at the Loew’s Hotel in Santa Monica. Buy ins are $75 with some amazing prizes to be won.  All proceeds go to benefit the Dawg Squad dog rescue program.
