What to Do this Weekend: 11/1-11/3 Edition

Halloween is over, but the sugar high is sure to last for quite a while! Here are some fun weekend events in Los Angeles that are sure to help you use up some of that sugar coated energy!

ICE at Santa Monica opens for the season! Back for its seventh year, the 8,000 sf outdoor venue offers skate rentals, a snack bar and even a mini rink for the kids. Located at 1324 5th Street in Santa Monica, the rink will be open until January 20, 2014. Check the Ice at Santa Monica website for hours, pricing and information regarding special events.

The 14th Annual Dia de Los Muertos Festival is happening, fittingly, at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Attendees will enjoy Mexican cuisine, musical and dance performances and more!

Are you a foodie or possibly a foodie-in-training? Have an eclectic pallet and love trying new restaurants? Head over to the Taste of Venice, formerly known as Taste of Abbot Kinney, as they celebrate the unique culinary flavor and talent of this Westside neighborhood!

During this afternoon walking and tasting tour of the Abbot Kinney area, you’ll taste signature dishes from some of the area’s top restaurants while enjoying wine, cocktail, and beer tastings. You’ll also get to watch cooking demos by some of Venice’s premiere chefs, listen to music, and enjoy presentations by Iron Chef America and Adam Gertler.
