Special Halloween Movie Screenings in Los Angeles 10/16-10/19

Living in Los Angeles, home of stars, starletts and all other things movie related, we are lucky to have tons of resources for advanced, special and classic movie screenings. Here are some special screenings of Halloween movies happening all around the Los Angeles area, some even as part of large multi-feature events. Enjoy!


October 16

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! Head over to the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood for a 7:30 screening of the 1990’s classic! Tickets are $16 per adult of $11.50 per child. The film will be followed by a midnight screening of horror spectacular, Poltergiest.


October 17-19

One of Los Angeles’s best kept secrets, Old Town Music Hall in El Segundo, will be showing the 1932 Boris Karloff version of The Mummy! The show runs once per evening over the weekend with a unique and incredible pre-show musical performance! Tickets are only $10.

October 17

Cut on over to Fairfax Avenue to the Cinefamily’s night of 35 mm screenings of surprise feature films, shorts and vintage trailers! Tickets are $25.


October 18

Head over to the historic Heritage Square in Pasadena for a special screening of the 1950’s classic, House of Wax, staring the original Scream King, Vincent Price! Tickets are $10.


October 18

The world famous Egyptian Theater presents, Dying for Deco: The Funerary Extravagances of the Art Deco Period,” an hour-long lecture on the subject complete with displays of funerary relics of the period. The 1936 Universal horror flick Dracula’s Daughter follows the lecture and there will be cake to celebrate the theater’s opening on this day back in 1922! Tickets are $11 and are all inclusive.


October 19

Kids and big kids of all ages will love watching the delightfully scary 80’s movie classic, Gremelins, on the big screen together! Head to the ArcLight in Hollywood for the early screening at 3:30 pm. Tickets are $16 per adult and $11.50 per child.
