President Obama to Visit Santa Monica Today

Santa Monicans are expecting to catch a peak at President Obama as he makes a rare visit to the West Coast! The Los Angeles Police Department is warning the public that this Friday’s Presidential visit could cause some traffic issues around Centinela and San Vicente.

President Obama will arrive at LAX, and head to Santa Monica, where he will then take part in a Fundraiser for a Democratic National Committee event at the Santa Monica home of executive producer, Peter Chernin. The fundraiser is expected to last until 2PM, when Obama will then depart for a meeting with Xi Jinping, the President of China at Rancho Mirage.

Santa Monica Areas to Avoid Today Are:

– The area around Centinela Avenue and West Olympic Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

– The area around West Olympic Boulevard and Cloverfield Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

– The area around 26th Street and San Vicente from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
