Los Angeles Tech Industry Turns To Westchester for Housing

The Westside of Los Angeles has experienced a significant tech industry boom in recent years.  Start ups and established companies alike are flocking to the warmer climate of Los Angeles over San Francisco, creating an area now known as “Silicon Beach”, an up-and-coming rival to SIlicon Valley.

With the explosion of tech industry jobs has come a need for even more housing close to the Santa Monica and Venice Beach areas.  It seems that many of the employees within these technology based industries are heading towards Westchester, an LAX adjacent neighborhood that while close to Santa Monica and Venice Beach, is far enough away to offer more affordable rents.

Not only does affordability and the short commute to tech industry hubs play a factor in the recent Westchester housing boom, but so too does the “suburban appeal” for those looking to purchase homes and start families in.
