Be in the Know: Street & Parking Closures for the Oscars this Sunday

This Sunday is the Superbowl of award shows: the 89th Annual Academy Awards!

While Los Angeles joins the rest of the world in anticipation of the nights ceremony, Los Angeles also gets nervous about the traffic inducing street closures over the weekend.

Don’t be caught off guard and in heavier-than-normal traffic this Sunday; here are the main street closures to watch out for this Sunday, February 26th, from 4:00 am:

Hollywood Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Orange and Highland.
Hollywood Boulevard will also be closed between La Brea and Cahuenga Boulevard.
Highland will be closed between Sunset and Franklin Avenue.
The Highland Avenue off-ramp from the 101 freeway will be closed.

Some streets will be closed for parking with some resulting in automatic towing.

Basically, avoid going into Hollywood at all costs on Sunday and if you live in Hollywood, consider staying put for the day!
