Giving Back, NMS Style!

How did you give back this Independence Day? A few employees from NMS Properties gave back by joining the Los Angeles Veterans Hospital by supporting our troops.

On Friday, July 5th, a few kind-hearted people got together and made a visit to the Veterans Hospital, visiting with vets and handing out goodie bags that included a pair of warm socks and nonperishable snacks. Penny Lane Emerson, one of the volunteers with NMS Properties had this to say about the volunteer event, “Most of the vets at the hospital are elderly, disabled or receiving some sort of ongoing treatment.  I think maybe the ones who do not have visitors feel pretty forgotten by the rest of us.  Even though our visits with each individual were relatively short, you could tell it made a positive impact, even if just for a little while.”
