Looking for a new place to jog in Santa Monica?

Tired of running down the same streets? Or maybe you are unsure of jogging places in Santa Monica? Here is a list of great running spots for you Santa Monicans!

The Boardwalk—obvious, I know, its 22 miles of a flat, scenic coastline that houses many sports junkies, 5.2 of the miles are in Santa Monica! There are water fountains, restroom and its flat—the runners dream! Best of all, the view! You are running parallel to the Pacific Ocean!

San Vicente – This is a well-known trail that happens to have a nice green median, perfect for runners! This grassy middle runs up and down San Vicente Blvd., from Brentwood down to the beach. Runners can get a great 2 mile incline up to Brentwood and a nice little 2 mile downhill back to the beach.

 

Hills Behind Main – For those runners looking for some hill work, look no further than the hills behind Main Street! There are some nice short steep hills, perfect for hill intervals. Bicknell, Pacific, Strand, Hollister, Ocean Park, Hill, Ashland and Marine are some of the many streets for hill runners.

Santa Monica High School and College Tracks – Great place for runners looking to do some speed work, Santa Monica High School (SaMoHi) is on Pico and 4th and Santa Monica College is located just up the street off Pico at Corsair Field.

The Bluffs – Along Ocean Ave from the pier to San Vicente is a nice little stretch of park ideal for a short run with spectacular views! The run roundtrip is about 3 miles, easy and beautiful!
